Dedication Brings Just Rewards For Tollbar

Tollbar Business And Enterprise College was celebrating more success after the A-level result league tables were released yesterday.

Its average point score per student of 815.0 saw it ranked second in North East Lincolnshire behind Franklin College, well above both the local authority (696.9) and national (739.8) averages.

It follows the news, reported in yesterday's Grimsby Telegraph, that the school had been ranked in the top one per cent of schools in England for GCSE results.

Andy Clark, the college's director of sixth form, said: "We are delighted that we have had a year-on-year increase in terms of average points score per student. It's down to the hard work of the students and commitment of staff."
